Globe Creek Camp Team – June 24-July 3, 2016

LightShine has been sending teams to help build Globe Creek Camp since 2008. They provide a vital camping experience for the Fairbanks region of Alaska and introduces and nurtures the faith of young people to their Creator, Jesus Christ. The team built a small building for a generator and doing other general carpentry and wood cutting. LightShine Ministries was privileged to be a part of a fund raising campaign this past winter to purchase the generator and have it shipped to Alaska. This team installed this much needed generator at GCC which is a Christian ministry wilderness camp beyond the electrical grid.

The camp is located 37 miles north of Fairbanks on the Elliot Highway and if you ever visited this beautiful area you know that there is nothing else out there!  The vision of camp director, Mike Dynes, is to provide more and more features to the camp that will draw in many people so that they can experience a loving atmosphere that leads people to Jesus Christ.  It is our passion to provide free labor for the camp so it can accomplish these goals.
