June 27 – July 5, 2020
Team Leader: Ben Ebersole
Ben is gathering a Father & Son team to serve at Bingle Camp on Harding Lake. He is looking for 3 – 5 Father/Son teams (6-10 team members). General contractors, knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry are helpful skills. The work projects have yet to be determined.
Bingle Camp is a Bible camp located about 1 hour southeast of Fairbanks, Alaska on scenic Harding Lake. The camp serves Christian youth of all ethnicities, focusing on the nearby native villages, and the greater Fairbanks area. Bingle also operates the Knox Retreat Center which is used by several local churches for administrative and other retreats.
Our team will depart on Saturday, June 27 . We will work a 40 hour week Monday – Friday and depart from Alaska arriving home on Sunday, July 5.
Hello! My name is Ben Ebersole, I attend Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church and will be leading this year’s team to Bingle Camp. I worked as a carpenter and estimator before becoming a Biology and Chemistry teacher, and have 20 years of full and part-time experience in framing and finish carpentry. I’m looking forward to serving The Lord as this team comes alongside our brothers and sisters at Bingle Camp. Our continuing service makes it possible for Bingle’s ministry to reach an increasingly broad audience as we enhance and repair the camp’s physical resources. I have been richly blessed by the opportunity to help build God’s Kingdom in Alaska through service at Bingle Camp. If you’re interested in serving with me, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you want to be part of this team, please complete this Registration Form with a $40 registration fee. This fee covers the cost of an embroidered Carhartt team shirt and locks you in as a team member. Then you will be able to begin the process of raising the $1850 for this trip. Once you are contacted by your team leader and your place is secured on this team, you can begin raising financial support by sending out support letters to your family and church friends. Simply have them send missionary support to us for your trip costs. Your team leader will help you develop your support letter and include two important dates for your supporters to note. The first financial deadline for half your support ($925) is due on April 17, 2020.
This first deadline is very important to keep because it will enables us to purchase your airline tickets. Once airline tickets are purchased, there is no backing out of the team. The second deadline for your entire amount is due May 29, 2020. Please note that these deadlines are strictly enforced. Not keeping them will cause us to ask you to step down from this team and consider another future team. Please take time to review our “Policies” page for more information.
The earlier you register the sooner you can start raising your financial support. We encourage you to get this out of the way early so you can enjoy the experience without any distractions. You will be so glad you did!
