This is a very important team that will prepare the way for several consecutive teams that will be coming in May. We need 6 strong men for a week of hard work to fell trees, move and carefully stack logs for milling and separate tree tops and branches. We have to clear an area where our new water house will be built and begin to work throughout our 5 acre property to remove dead spruce trees that were killed in the last two years by the Spruce Borer Beetle. You can see all the trees on our property in this photo that need to be removed.
These trees are a fire hazard for all the neighbors on the mountain where our base is located. But the trees are also useful for milling and using for different construction projects. Our Sawmill Team in June/July will be milling the logs we carefully stack for them.
It is not imperative that you can use a chain saw. But we do need people who can work hard and enjoy the fellowship with like minded men who love Jesus Christ and want to be used by Him. We will have daily Bible studies and times of prayer. We will also be doing some exploring on a local glacier so it would be good for you to be in good physical condition for this team.

The cost for any of LightShine’s trips is $1850 plus a $40 one time registration fee (if you have never served on a LightShine team before). Cost of trip covers airfare, food, transportation and administration expenses. You will receive an embroidered Carhartt team shirt included in the registration fee. Once you are contacted by your team leader and your place is secured on this team, you can begin raising financial support by sending out support letters to your family and church friends. Simply have them send missionary support to us for your trip costs. Your team leader will help you develop your support letter and include two important dates for your supporters to note. The first financial deadline for half your support ($925) is due on March 26, 2021. This first deadline is very important to keep because it will enables us to purchase your airline tickets. Once airline tickets are purchased, there is no backing out of the team. The second deadline for your entire amount is due April 30, 2021. Please note that these deadlines are strictly enforced.
