February 28 – March 10, 2025
(l-r) Ryan Denlinger, Brianne Williams, Zach Kimball, Sarah Schmidt, David Moore, & Tom Denlinger
Our team was primarily from Life Center in Harrisburg that desires to support one of their “Life Lines“ (supported missionaries) named Ryan Denlinger who is the Founder and General Director of Empowering Japan. Our team worked on building a raised floor (in the traditional Japanese style) in the home of the pastor (Daniel Kennedy in the video below) of Yomitan International Church (YIC) in Okinawa which works in partnership with Empowering Japan. This needed work will allow the pastor’s family to eventually move out of the church building and into their own home. The goal is to turn that living area in the church into housing for incoming Youth With A Mission (YWAM) outreach teams to spread the love of Jesus Christ all over the island!
The team also did several ministry events including helping with a language class at Joy Chapel, attending a small church fellowship at a mango farm and helping Empowering Japan with some street worship and evangelism. Team Leader, Tom Denlinger shared a testimony at Yomitan International Church on Sunday, March 9. Take time to watch this 5 minute video to get a taste of church in Okinawa.
Take time to watch this video to see of the vision of why we are working there …
If you are interested in serving in Okinawa in the future, send an email to Tom Denlinger: tomdenlinger@comcast.net.
Thank you for sending this team!
