Jackie Keener is our Director of Finance and a LightShine Board Member. She and her husband, Jon served on their first trip to Alaska with LightShine was in 2020. Being married only a few months, they decided to join the Globe Creek team to Alaska. God had other plans. With all of the COVID shut down, most teams for 2020 were canceled. Carl Ginder called us and asked us to join him on the insulation team for the missions base. They followed God’s lead and said “Yes”.
This trip allowed Jackie to get to know Carl Ginder (our former Director of Finance) and offer some help with the team member support tracking. She helped behind the scenes from 2020 – 2026. When Carl passed in 2026, she took over a part of his role on the LightShine International Ministries leadership team (LSIM).
Jackie spent 10 years in financial roles and has her CPA. All of these experiences have taught her the importance of internal controls, automation, and accountability. I value being a part of LSIM because my work helps enable all of our teams to travel to Alaska to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Outside of a full time job and LightShine, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family.
