LightShine Base 2023 – House Team 3

September 8 -17 Assignment Completed!

(l-r) Jerry Polizzi, Charlie Bradley, Eric Hurley, Angie & Bob Neuenschwander, Gina Draper, Clair Denlinger, Austin Rohrer & Tom Denlinger

In June, “House Team 1” built a needed addition and stripped out the upstairs ceilings and old insulation. “House Team 2” followed up two weeks later and removed all the trees around the house, installed a new electric service, a new propane gas line, and a underground french drain that carries surface water back into the woods to a pit. This final team prepared our Base Director’s House for winter by working on building skirting around the building as well as doing some dirt work to fill in the landscape around the house. The goal was to raise the grade close to the house and encourage water to flow away from the building.  Take time to view these photos …

This team worked hard and pushed through some very rainy days in the mid 40s. Some of the team members developed various forms of sickness, fever and chills but continued to work. What an amazing team they were!

Bob Neuenschwander led this team. Bob and his wife, Angie, have been married for 37 years and are members of Calvary Church in Lancaster, PA. Bob has been in the construction trade for 38 years. He is employed as a Superintendent at Weaver Companies.  Bob has been involved in missionary work all his adult life and has co-led teams to build missionary housing in Papua New Guinea, Word of Life camp in the Philippines and hurricane relief work after Hurricane Sandy.

You can contact Bob via email at: Bobn@weaverco.com or call him on his cell phone at: 717-314-0560 if you are interested in serving with LightShine next year.

2024 will be another amazing year to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and point others to Him!
