In 2 Corinthians we see a comparison with the Old Covenant (The Mosaic Law) which was only for the Jewish people and the New Covenant which is for all people and all cultures.
This New Covenant is the gospel (Good News) of salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 10:4). Verse 9 tells us that The Law condemns mankind. In other words, it shows mankind that they could never keep the commands of Jehovah God. It shows us that before Him, we are sinners (Romans 3:23) and in slavery to sin (Romans 6:6; Galatians 5:1). The Law shows us we are already condemned to hell (1 Corinthians 15:22) even from birth (Romans 5:12).
But the good news of the Gospel (the New Covenant) is that through Jesus Christ’s death on the cross as our substitute for paying for our own sin, we can be cleansed of our sin and freed from our slavery to it (Romans 5:8-11). Therefore we can live in freedom of sin’s dominion over us.
Verse 1
Lord, I see … Your grace (John 1:14; 1 Peter 5:10; James 1:17) and Your mercy (1 Peter 1:3; Psalm 103:4; Luke 1:78) You wash me and make me clean (Mark 1:41) You tell me You love me (John 16:27; 17:23; 1 John 4:16) Howmanytimes…haveIlaidbefore Your throne? (like in – Deuteronomy 9:18; 1 Kings 18:39; Ezekiel 1:28) empty and broken (Psalm 51:17) My guilt (Psalm 38:3-4) pushed me so far away (Psalm 139:7-10)
Chorus
But Your forgiveness is free (Galatians 5:1) Lord Jesus make me new (2 Corinthians 5:17) Your tender mercy draws me so close to You (Romans8:15-16). Lord, I’m free (2 Corinthians 3:17; 1 Peter 2:16) … free to love You. Please take the veil away (2 Corinthians 3:15-16) and let Your glory shine through.
Verse 2
You tell me I’m clean (Psalm 32:5) As white as the winter snow (Psalm 51:7) I find it so hard to believe when I’m caught in the undertow (Psalm 38: 5-8) Now I lift my hands (1 Timothy 2:8) Jehovah, I reach for You. I hide Your Word in my heart (Psalm 119:11) Lord I thank You for making me new (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 12:1,2)

Transform my mind (Romans 12:2) … into Your likeness (Ephesians 4:22-24)This glorious ministry … making us holy! (Colossians 1:22) Lord, I’m free (2 Corinthians 3:17; 1 Peter 2:16) … free to love You. Please take the veil away (2 Corinthians 3:15-16) and let Your glory shine through.
“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4
Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
But Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any of these ,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because you are mere man, claim to God.”John10:32-33
