Hello Everyone! Welcome to our new website. Please be patient as we continue to work on each page and add features that will make your visit here enjoyable.

What a wonderful time to be alive! There are so many opportunities to serve our LORD Jesus Christ in Alaska. Whether you are a skilled craftsperson or gifted with working with people, God has a place for you in building up His people and giving Him glory. We work with local churches, Bible camps and other ministries in Alaska to strengthen the Body of Christ there.
The most important thing you can do is go to prayer and ask Him how you are to spend the rest of your days. What mark will you leave on people's lives. Will they remember you as a man or woman of God who gave Him your all? Will they see Jesus in you? Our ministry provides opportunities to use your gifts and talents in the beautiful state of Alaska. We want to encourage you to "think outside your box" and ask God for wisdom. Ask Him to reveal to you the immeasurable riches He has for you as you obey Him to use your entire life for His glory!

Take time to visit our some of our photo albums and team reports on our "2016 Teams" pages. For those of you who like to plan ahead, we are being to set dates for next year as well. Our "2017 Teams" page will most likely be very similar to our "2016 Teams" page because we return to the places we have been working for every year.

Are you on our mailing list? If not, please send us an email and we will include you!

Do you use Facebook? If so, click on this Facebook photo (right) and JOIN OUR GROUP and view all the photos from our teams this year! We are active on Facebook and use it as a powerful tool for keeping in contact with people.

We are a Kingdom ministry. The Kingdom of Jesus Christ is made up of people - people from all cultures and different ways of life. We desire to connect people and encourage them - building covenant relationships that last a lifetime!

What can destroy relationships like this? The Bible says that we are not at odds with people but against spiritual forces that are unseen to the natural eye (Ephesians 6:12).

We believe the Bible when it teaches us that we are in a spiritual battle in order to subdue kingdoms that are set against our LORD (Hebrews 11:33).  We are not only commanded to make disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20), but all of us at LightShine Ministries have been called to see His Kingdom established in Alaska!

Join with us in simply being Light in darkness!  Jesus said that we are the Light of the world. All demonic principalities and powers (Ephesians 6:12) that rule over this great state will be broken down and displaced by the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (1 John 3:8) just by the work of God's people. Jesus told us we would do even greater works than He did (John 14:12-13).  Please pray for brothers and sisters in Christ who do this work in Alaska and for us as we help equip them with tools for ministry.  Jesus will be Lord over all of Alaska!  This is what we are praying and working for!

BIG NEWS!  We are seeking Lord to help us establish our first ministry base in Alaska!  CLICK HERE to read more!

For 21 years (since 1995) we have been offering assistance to brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ by helping them build His Kingdom in the hearts of the people of Alaska.

We offer short term missionary opportunities for people who love people, love the outdoors and desire to serve our God in places where churches need help in establishing Bible camps.

Please take time to explore our website and ask the Lord if He would have you be a part of our next missionary team to Alaska!  You can start by viewing past teams and the work they did by clicking HERE.

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:10

God has created you to do work for Him.  We view our ministry as a "Pipeline of People" from the lower 48 states to Alaska.  People who love God and His people.

Matthew 25:40 (NKJV)

“And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’"
