June 12 – 21
This year’s team will be working again at the Wrangell Mountain Bible Conference grounds and continuing to finish the building they started last year. CLICK HERE to see photos from last year’s team.

The Wrangell Mountain Bible Conference is an important ministry in the Copper River Valley which is an area about the size of Ohio which is deep into the wilderness approximately 200 miles from Anchorage. This map shows the area where Copper Center is located. We borrowed this image from this website.

The Alaska Native people from this region are Athabaskan Ahtna people. The villages shown on this map all end with the letter “a” which signifies a village on a river. Copper Center was a name given by white settlers to area where Kluti-Kaah Village is located.
LightShine Ministries has been helping repair and build buildings there for over 20 years!
This Wrangell Mountain Bible Conference is a meeting place for all people in the Copper River Valley and takes place on the first week of July every year. You can visit their Facebook page HERE. Our team will be helping them with their buildings.

Mel Miller will be leading this team. Mel is a veteran leader with LightShine and has been leading teams since 2009 with us. Contact Mel with any questions that you might have by calling him at 717-418-6089 of email him at: melmiller516@gmail.com
The cost of this trip is $2175.
Our trip cost covers everything you need once you leave your home until you return. The total is determined by analyzing the cost of team assignments from previous years (things like your airline ticket, ground transportation, three meals a day, and many administrative fees that LightShine incurs) and combining that experience with known costs in Alaska.
If you want to be part of this team, please complete this Registration Form with a $40 registration fee. This fee covers the cost of a LightShine Alaska team shirt and locks you in as a team member. Once you are contacted by your team leader and your place is secured on this team, you can begin raising financial support by sending out support letters to your family and church friends. Simply have them send missionary support to us for your trip costs. Your team leader will help you develop your support letter and include two important dates for your supporters to note. The first financial deadline for half your support ($1087.50) is due on May 1, 2026. This first deadline is very important to keep because it will enables us to purchase your airline tickets. Once airline tickets are purchased, there is no backing out of the team. The second deadline for your entire amount is May 15, 2026. Please note that these deadlines are strictly enforced. Not keeping them will cause us to ask you to step down from this team and consider another future team. Please take time to review our “Policies” page for more information.
The earlier you register the sooner you can start raising your financial support. We encourage you to get this out of the way early so you can enjoy the experience without any distractions. You will be so glad you did! A side benefit on this trip is seeing God’s beautiful creation and spending time working in it. This will be a life changing experience for you and will give you a new perspective on helping those who are really in need!
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
Thank you for considering going with us in 2026!
