I’ll never forget when I was a boy in the 70s and I got my first “Living Proverbs” book. It was the book of Proverbs in the Living Bible paraphrase.
I could not put it down. I remember reading it like I was eating a meal. I could feel God speaking to me so deeply.
Honestly, I still feel that way.
Take time to let God speak directly to you. Wisdom comes to those who feed on His Word with a teachable spirit.
Honestly, I have also allowed myself to slip into what this verse calls “a perverse heart” in times past. Those times never satisfied. Instead, they robbed me of true intimacy with my King. Don’t fall for that lie. Time is too short.
